I stumbled across your blog in some random web rummaging and I just wanted to leave a few words of encouragement! I went to school for digital animation (I do motion graphics professionally now) and I love watching works in progress like this. I bookmarked your page so I can come back and see updates. Hi Kristen,

Thanks for writing! Absolutely I would love to have you and your students on-board for this project. It’s great meeting other local artists and educators!

I’m still figuring out how to best work with collaborators. For now, I’ve been sending out emails to all the collaborators telling them what’s going on and what needs to be done. To get on that list, you can join this google group or I can just add your email myself. My email by the way is larkinheather@gmail.com.

Heather,
I am so excited to learn about your project from the WIFV email. I was a very active WIFV member for many years and started the Animators Roundtable. I am now living in Central VA (Lynchburg) and focusing on my fine art work . http://www.KristinReiberHarris I am also teaching fine art, design and animation at two colleges down here.

I would love to be involved in your project somehow and possibly get my students involved. I was never trained in traditional cel animation. My work was always collage style animation and I am a great fan of the Puppet Tool in AE. I will have my students working with both Flash CS5 and AE Spring Semester.

I love the animatics and will show it to my drawing students. Such great gesture drawing and a good example how drawing skills are applied in the “real world” outside of fine art.

Congratulations of your progress so far and I look forward to learning more about how you are working with your collaborators.
